About submitting and refereeing

If you wish to submit a paper to, or referee papers for, The Bible and Critical Theory or Monash Business Review, please use our online Submission and refereeing system.

Submitting authors should use this system to:

• submit an article and accompanying files such as images and a covering letter.
• track the progress of your submission through the refereeing process (note that the system preserves the anonymity of the refereeing process by hiding the referee names from submitting authors)
• view a referee report/s on your submission, provided the managing editor has released the report to you through the system
• upload a revised version of your submission, provided the managing editor has, through the system requested that you do so

Information about what you need to do to submit your article through the System can be found at the 'Submit paper checklist' shortly after entering the site. It is recommended that you read this information before submitting your paper. Failure to follow the instructions means the journal editor will not be able to send your paper out for refereeing, which will most likely result in your paper not being accepted for publication.

Note that at this time, while you are submitting your article for consideration of being published, low-resolution images are fine. However, If your article is accepted for publication, you will be required to submit high resolution images that meet the specifications stated in the 'Submission Guidelines' (.pdf 820 kb). Indeed, all specifications in this document must be followed.

Referees should use the system to:

• offer to referee for the journal
• view a submission and submit a referee report on it, provided the managing editor has allocated them as a referee of that submission
• update their contact information as needed

Submission guidelines

If your article has been accepted for publication

The ePress's Submission Guidelines (.pdf 820 kb) are divided into two sections:

Part One: Submission Specifications
This section is compulsory. If your paper has been accepted for publication you must ensure that the final version adheres to these instructions.
The section covers the style for references, and the formatting requirements for tables, images and equations, and what can and cannot be submitted in the body of the main Word document.

Part Two: Style Guide
These are suggested guidelines for the writing style - your Journal Editor will advise whether you must follow these guidelines or not.
The Style Guide section offers suggestions on spelling, punctuation, numerical and grammatical matters. Please use this Style Guide if requested to by your editor.
